Meet Assetz Capital Case Manager – Jenna Gray.

How long have you been at Assetz Capital and how did you get into business lending?

I joined Assetz Capital in 2017 after taking a short career break from banking to focus on my young children, during which time I worked as a baby swimming instructor. Prior to that, I built my banking career at Allied Irish Bank, where I began as a cashier and progressed through various roles, including Deposit Manager, Regulated Mortgage Consultant, Relationship Team Support, and ultimately Relationship Manager for Business Lending and Private Banking.

 What does a normal day look like in your role?

No two days are the same in my role, which is one of the things I love most about it. My primary focus is managing cases through to completion by collaborating with customers, colleagues, and appointed professionals. A typical day involves managing a high volume of emails, participating in Teams calls, completing KYC checks, reviewing loan documentation, and ensuring all conditions are met before a deal completes.

What’s the best thing about working at Assetz Capital and working in lending? 

The best part of working at Assetz is the amazing team I get to collaborate with every day. Despite everyone’s busy schedules, my colleagues are always willing to share their knowledge and provide support when needed. Lending at Assetz is particularly rewarding because no two cases are the same. Each deal comes with unique challenges that require creativity and teamwork to overcome, and it’s incredibly satisfying to celebrate a successful completion together.

What’s your favourite activity outside of work?

It’s hard to choose just one! For some “me time,” I enjoy tap dancing. On weekends, I’m a dedicated football mum, cheering on my son and daughter as they play. I also hold a season ticket for Manchester City Women’s games, which I attend with my daughter, and I try to catch the men’s matches whenever I can get tickets.
