Stuart Law. Chief Executive Officer.

Stuart Law is co-founder and CEO of Assetz Capital and has over 35 years of experience in the property, financial services, and software sectors. Stuart played a pivotal role in establishing the company as the largest investor led, property finance lender for SMEs in the UK, as well as the company’s pivot to institutional backed lending in 2022.

His entrepreneurial spirit and deep knowledge of the investment and property markets have made him a prominent figure in these industries, both domestically and internationally. Stuart’s commitment to innovation is evident through his efforts to address housing challenges in the UK, aiming to bring more properties to market where they are most needed.

Stuart’s career is marked by a consistent drive for excellence and a proactive approach to business development. His insights into market trends and investment strategies have positioned him as a thought leader in both the property and financial service markets, making significant contributions to discussions around economic recovery and sustainable investment practices.

Andrew Fraser. Chief Commercial Officer.

Andrew Fraser is the Chief Commercial Officer at Assetz Capital, a role he assumed in 2023 after joining the company in 2017. With over 24 years of experience in property development banking and commercial lending, Andrew has established himself as a key player in the financial sector. He has previously held influential relationship management roles at major banks like Santander UK Plc and the Bank of Ireland.

During his tenure at Assetz Capital, Andrew has made significant contributions to the company’s growth, particularly in Northern Ireland. He was instrumental in establishing the Northern Irish business centre, driving lending in the region to an impressive £160 million. His expertise spans the full range of property-backed lending products, which has been a vital asset for Assetz Capital as it expanded its offerings to cater to diverse regional markets.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Andrew played a pivotal role in Assetz Capital’s shift to institutionally funded lending. This transition allows the company to focus on larger property-backed loans, ensuring the continued growth and sustainability of the business. His deep connections with developers, brokers, and introducers across the UK have strengthened Assetz Capital’s market presence and enhanced its reputation for delivering tailored financial solutions.

Andrew’s highly technical skill set, and deep understanding of regional market dynamics make him an invaluable leader at Assetz Capital. Irene Thomas. Chief Operating Officer.

Irene is a highly experienced professional in the financial services sector, with over 33 years in operational leadership. Irene has demonstrated expertise in transforming operations to enhance efficiency and customer experience. Before joining Assetz Capital, she spent 14 years at Together Money as the Director of Commercial Operations, where she led strategic improvements and growth initiatives. Her prior experience also includes roles at Morgan Stanley, Freedom Finance, and HBOS.

Irene is known for her leadership style, which emphasises trust, transparency, and collaboration, and she advocates for more women in leadership positions within the financial services industry.

At Assetz Capital, Irene is focused on modernising the customer experience and driving growth for the company, which specialises in providing SME property finance for property investors and developers alike.​

Mark Wardrop. Chief Financial Officer.

Mark is a finance executive with 30 years experience in the SME sector.  A chartered accountant (ACA) by training, Mark spent 20 years at accountants and business advisors BDO, predominantly in the business restructuring and advisory practice, and undertook extensive secondments at HSBC, Barclays and GE Capital, working with their clients.

Mark joined Assetz Capital in 2014 and has been their CFO for the majority of his tenure, overseeing the financial strategy.  His extensive background positions him as a trusted adviser throughout the business and Mark is passionate about the role Assetz Capital can play in solving the UK housing crisis through facilitating increased property lending to SME housebuilders.

Tim Harper. Chief Credit Officer.

Tim’s entire career has been in the financial services sector, starting in Banking, at William and Glyn’s in 1979. Following their take over by RBS in 1985, Tim specialised In Commercial Credit with a focus on highly leveraged structured debt. Tim rose to become Director of Commercial Banking in Specialist Sectors. Following a 37 career at RBS, he joined Assetz Capital in 2017 to lead the businesses credit function.

At Assetz Capital, Tim utilises his deep understanding of credit analysis and risk mitigation, ensuring sound lending practices and sustainable growth.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, Tim plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the company’s lending practices – working closely with the origination team, borrowers, and external stakeholder alike to foster strong relationships and support the company’s growth objectives.

Dave Allanson. Non Executive Director.

Dave has been involved in the North West business market for over 25 years and was previously Managing Director for Lloyds Banking Group, looking after Corporate, Leveraged and Property clients with turnover of over £25M across the area.

Since leaving Lloyds in 2016, Dave has undertaken 11 NED/Consultancy roles with businesses across the North in the sectors of Financial Services, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Advisory and BTB services.

Dave currently have a portfolio of 5 NED’s including Assetz Capital Limited, which he joined in 2023.

Fran Brayford. Case Manager.

Fran is skilled in managing relationships with clients. She is diligent, service driven, excels in building excellent rapport and has a proud record of over 37 years at the front line of financial services and business generation.

Fran’s career spans from 1987 having held specialist roles within Bank of Scotland, HBOS and Lloyds Banking Group before joining Assetz Capital 5 years ago.

Her focus is on achieving excellent customer and business outcomes. She is passionate about the customer experience and always looks for ways to improve the customer journey.

Paul Egerton. Case Manager.

Paul is vastly experienced in Financial & Customer Services, having worked in the sector for 39 years. After 33 years with Lloyds Banking Group, where he gained extensive experience as an Associate Relationship Director and Relationship Manager (amongst many other roles across multiple branches and departments), he joined Assetz Capital in 2019 as an Assistant Relationship Director. Paul is an excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with clients and external parties. He has a proven ability to deliver business results whilst managing risk and ensuring client satisfaction at all times. He is also experienced in the management of others and change processes. Paul is committed to delivering positive outcomes for both clients and Assetz Capital alike.

Jenna Gray. Case Manager. 

Jenna has been in the financial services sector for almost 20 years, having joined Allied Irish Bank in 2005 where she worked as a Relationship Manager in both the Private Banking and Commercial Banking teams. She takes great pride in her work, with a keen eye for detail, and always strives to deliver outstanding service and support to colleagues, customers and professional partners alike.

Jenna joined Assetz Capital in 2017, working closely with the Relationship Directors, primarily across the care and development sectors, to deliver first class customer service and progress matters at pace to ensure a smooth and swift completion . She has a wealth of experience and knowledge and is always happy to assist colleagues and share with the team.

Lloyd Whiting. Case Manager.

Lloyd joined Assetz Capital in January 2019 and his first position was in the Lender Team, dealing with funds coming into the business which would subsequently be lent out. Just under a year later he joined the Relationship Support Team (RST) as a Relationship Support Assistant. Lloyd then moved across to assist the RST team (now known as The Operations Team) with loan processing/underwriting. Having been successful in this role, Lloyd was promoted to Relationship Support Manager. He then transitioned into the role of Case Manager.

As a Case Manager, Lloyd works alongside clients, Relationship Directors, Credit Managers and various third parties to get a case from Decision In Principle (DIP) all the way through to completion. His main priority is to complete deals as efficiently as possible.
